From AUG the 10th to the 16th, I participated in the Group exhibition “Wings of Riga 2020”.
This is an annual exhibition that takes place in the old building of “Spilve” Airport in Riga. The building itself was built in the 50s and is a very interesting historical site of that era (here is an article on Wikipedia).
The exhibition was attended by 26 artists from Latvia, Estonia and Poland and were presented more than 100 paintings. Unfortunately, this year many artists were unable to participate due to travel restrictions.
On the evening of the 10th, the exhibition was opened.
I presented my 4 pictures from the series about the Netherlands. During the exhibition, I met a lot of interesting people and made conclusions on how I would plan my next participation in it.
You can see more works of different artists presented at the exhibition here ...
And here are my photos that I took at the exhibition.
Enjoy and visit this unique building. It has not yet been restored and you can imagine how people walked on it waiting for their planes 70 years ago.
See you next year!
